Freelance Journalism and Motherhood

New Years Day 2021. A day full of resolutions across the world. For this writer it also meant the launch of a new business venture, a scary prospect. January 1st marked the start of my career as a freelance journalist, putting in as many hours as I could manage as a stay-at-home mum with minimal childcare (due to the lockdown in the UK).

Squeezing in writing whenever possible has made me something of a night-owl, typing away until gone midnight on some nights (thank the gods for a sleep-loving toddler is all I have to say). We are now three weeks into the new year and…
